RideMeter values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

In short:All ride data is stored locally on your device only. We do not collect personal information or upload it to servers.

1. Information Collection

To provide its core features, RideMeter requires the following permissions:

Location Information (Always/While Using):Used for cycling navigation, GPS speed calculation, and ride route recording. You can change location permissions at any time in iOS system settings.
Ride Data:Includes real-time speed, distance, ride duration, average speed, and route tracks.

2. Data Storage

RideMeter is designed with a local-first principle:

All ride data is stored only locally on your iPhone
We do not upload any personally identifiable information to external servers
We do not share your data with any third parties
The app does not use any third-party analytics services or advertising SDKs
The app does not require account creation, registration, or login

3. Use of Location Information

Location information is used only to:

Display cycling navigation routes
Calculate real-time speed and travel distance
Record ride tracks

Location data is collected only while the app is being used in the foreground. When the app is closed or running in the background, it does not continuously obtain location information.

4. Data Sharing

When you actively use the sharing feature:

The app generates an image containing ride data
You can choose to share this image to social platforms such as WeChat, Weibo, or Moments
This action is initiated by you; the app itself does not automatically share any data

5. Data Deletion

You can do the following at any time:

Delete a single ride record or all ride history within the app
Uninstall the app to clear all local data
Turn off location permission in iOS system settings to stop location data collection

6. Children's Privacy

This app is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Policy Changes

If this Privacy Policy changes, we will notify you in the app and update the Last Updated date on this page.
